Proporta Education Foundation

The PEF (UK Charity: 1154827) helps talented Sri Lankan children from poor families to stay in education. Schooling is free in Sri Lanka but essentials like transport, books and uniforms aren't and this makes it tough for kids to stay in school. Sometimes, all that's needed is a bike costing $35 or some solar lighting for evening homework sessions. The PEF uses local volunteers to help and, with all admin costs covered by the PEF, every penny you donate arrives with one of our carefully chosen students.
